World's largest EV never has to be recharged: Off-road truck regenerating 100%

An off-road 110-ton dump truck hauls ore up and down the side of a mountain but consumes no energy doing it. How is that possible? The dump truck, at 45 tons, ascends the 13-percent grade and takes 65 tons of ore with it. With more than double the mass going down the hill, the regenerative braking system recaptures more than enough energy to recharge the eDumper to 100%. If not electric, off-road truck like this would uses up to 91 000 litres of diesel fuel a year. Click to know more about the Elektro Dumper—eDumper for short—made by Kuhn Schweiz AG. And the test drive by the Formula E Brazilian driver, Lucas di Grassi.
