The World Resources Institute (WRI) GHG (Greenhouse gas) Protocol method is a global standard for companies and organizations to measure and manage their GHG emissions and become more efficient and resilient. Read more about it here.
Since 2008 the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program (PBGHG) has been adapting the GHG Protocol method to the Brazilian context, in addition to stimulating the corporate culture of GHG emissions inventory in Brazil.
Created in partnership with FGVces (FGV EAESP's Center for Sustainability Studies), WRI itself, the Brazilian Ministry of Environment, the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD) and 27 founding companies, the PBGHG has already developed a series of resources for its members:
Public Emissions Registry, online platform
Historical emissions statistics
Inventory map by sector, more than 3,000 GHG inventories
Inventory by qualification (i.e. scopes 1, 2 and 3): Bronze (partial), Silver (complete) and Gold (complete + Inmetro accredited verification)
A lot of bibliography in a free repository of guidelines, technical norms, quality and accounting standards
PBGHG 2022 Calculation Tool (in Google Docs)
Among others.
