New Global Carbon Market Regulations Tracker Released by Gold Standard. For download. Webinar soon.

Today is Wednesday, 03 July 2024.


According to the press release from Gold Standard, the tracker increases visibility on regulations across continents for project developers, governments, and other carbon market actors.


On top of that, it intends to enable compliance, support decision-making and allow the identification of trends and best practices. In parallel to other relevant topics.


Besides aviation’s CORSIA, 34 jurisdictions were covered in this first version.


The tracker was developed by Gold Standard’s implementing partner, South Pole. Based in Switzerland, this climate consultancy company specialized in carbon projects was recently in the headlines for another reason: the huge Kariba project in Zimbabwe.

As it is also indicated that the tracker will be updated over time as more regulations are introduced, Carbon Credit Markets lists below additional countries with some kind of carbon market operations:




Last but not least, coming 17 July Gold Standard will organize the online event “Tracking Preparedness: Launching the Gold Standard Carbon Market Regulations Tracker and Reflections from our Partners”. There is still time to register and participate.


The tool was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
